| no partners | | This was my first time to the Cave Creek Recreation Area. I decided to do the Go John Trail clockwise and then the Overton trail clockwise to complete the figure eight (9 Miles). From there I drove over to the Clay Mine trail (1.7 Miles Round Trip) to satisfy my curiosity. Both of the trails were in great shape. I'd rank these as moderate hikes.
The wildflowers were showing pretty well today with many different types on the trails.
I ran in to a few people on the front side (south) of both the Go John and Overton trails, but had the back sides to myself. There were also a few Mountain bikers out there, one who was hauling downhill around a corner and came pretty close to getting me. It was a great day with perfect weather. |
