| no partners | | I decided to go on a spur of the moment trip to two places i've been wanting to visit for a long time. I stayed up all night and left home at midnight and headed to Baboquivari. It's kind of scary going to a new place in the middle of the night when border patrol is searching the nearby desert with a spot light. This honestly might have been the first sun rise i've ever experienced since I really started photography. Believe me...I AM NOT A MORNING PERSON. It's definately way harder trying to find a composition and focus in the dark (i'll stick to sunsets, thank you). At around 9:30 I headed to Chiricahua and got to the park at about 1. I decided to do the Echo Canyon trail because it's the only one i've ever heard of. The parking lot was full when I got there, but around sunset I had the place to myself. I did a bunch of climbing on some hoodoos to get the sel portrait shot and sunset shots. It's amazing to me that you can go from sweating your pumpkin off to freezing and having goose bumps within 45 minutes. |
