I got a new nd filter as an early birthday present from my parents, and i thought i would put it to use. When I left i got that feeling that i forgot something, but i couldn't think of what it was. When I finally got to the trailhead and stepped out of my car, i realized that i forgot my hiking shoes, and i had vans on. So to start, this wasn't the smartest trip i've had, and my ankles paid the price :stretch: . The other dumb thing i did was thinking that i could stand in the middle of the creek to get a couple good shots. It was about 50 degrees out, and i touched the water, and it really didn't feel that cold. I decided i would stand in the middle for a few minutes and deal with the pretty cold water. After about 2 minutes (1:30 setting up) my legs, knee high, started hurting. It was definetely a stupid idea, and the second picture was my "attempt." I really liked this hike, and was surprised by the fall colors still there, but i don't think i've ever seen so many trees on the ground in one area before. It really made it hard to take pictures of the creek.
