The climb up the chute seemed less dramatic than last time I did it. I guess I took a little easier route this time.
On the way to Peak 2 Karl twisted his knee. He tried to keep going, but wasn't doing well. At that point we decide to hit Peak 2 then head back the way we came. Karl wanted us to keep going while he went back solo. Joe nixed that idea. We needed to make sure he made it back to the trailhead. After all Karl was our ride.
Karl made it back in one piece fortunately under his own power. We found some shade at the trailhead, had snacks and drinks, chatted a bit, then headed home. Nice hiking with Karl and James for the first time. Joe was on his best behavior. Thanks for driving Karl, hope the knee injury is not serious. Good times. |
