At the time neither the BCT website nor HikeAZ had any information on this hike. We planned to hike for 5 - 6 miles to a logical spot or until the trail ended and turn around. As it turned out at about 5.5 miles, we decided we'd turn around when the trail crossed or came very near to the gravel road we could see was nearby. Unfortunately neither happened. Eventually we saw a partially paved road in the distance which Tom correctly thought was the road to Bumble Bee. As the road didn't seem too far we decided on that as the turnaround. Well, it was another 1.5 miles via trail. After a break and snack we headed back. |
