| no partners | | | Today was another get on Google Earth, find something & hike to it! I have been out to the P Ranch about a dozen times but never knew about the mine above it and just had to see it. Parked at the ranch and hiked up the road a couple hundred yards to first view the old ranch ruins. Next it was a short walk across the desert to hook up with the dirt road that heads up towards the base of the eastern Pinalenos. I then crossed through the forest boundry gate and headed up the mine road. Another mile or so and I located a faint spur road that led me down to the small mine along a rock wall. Explored the area for a short while before turning around and returning back the way I came. Great weather & a new find made this a very worthwhile trip! |
