| no partners | | Took a friend out hiking today. She had to be back in Tempe by four so we hiked out to Charlebois Spring and planned to decide then on our return route based on how fast we were going. We made awesome time so we got to take the good way back!
We saw very few people on the trail today but lots of snakes (no rattlers). If anyone happened to hear a scream out there today, it was my friend Kim freaking out as a snake rushed out of the grass and slithered between my feet.
The frogs were gettin' down and nasty at Charlebois. It made it a little hard to eat lunch surrounded by so many frogs doing the dirty.
There's quite a few nice and clean looking pools of water out there. We found a couple nice deep pools along LaBarge. Surprising, Charlebois was the greenest and dirtiest looking water we saw all day. Also, the wildflowers are really starting to come out nicely.
I had a great day on one of my favorite loops. |
