| no partners | | I needed to return to Charlebois Canyon to check out the cliff base. The Bluff Spring Mountain Loop worked well to get me out there without doing the exact same trails as last week. The temps were a little warmer this week but there were some morning clouds blocking the sun so it was nice. The Terrapin trail is grown in a little as usual but still okay. I exited the trail west of Charlebois Spring and hiked along the cliff base to the north heading east. I found one area that may have been used a long time ago with a few pot sherds but nothing too exciting. I hiked down Charlebois Canyon on the exit which was a little choked in spots but not too bad. There was a lot of water farther up canyon so I think there is either another spring or the water goes underground and resurfaces below. I notice a gray fox scrambling up the hill along La Barge Creek but no other fauna. |
