So I love Reavis Falls! And today I got to hike with 5 very experienced virgins there (still trying to figure out how they all have kids - except for Tugger ;) ). Probably the 1st time I've ever been the only one who's ever been on the trail! :) Anyway, the day couldn't have been more perfect! We got an insanely early start ;) , so there was still lots of snow cover along the mountains. I don't think any of us were expecting a snow hike, but it sure was pretty. And Tugger LOVED romping in the snow. To his disappointment, on the way out, the snow was already almost all gone! Super cool to see snow and icicle covered trees on the way down, and totally bare on the way up. 8)

We were a little more than 3 miles into the hike and Dave (of course) caught up to us and spent the rest of the day with us (poor guy didn't know what he was getting into! :D) Once down to the creek bed, Nick lead us all the way to the falls. Bruce saved a little lizard's life by pulling him out mid-drowning :A1: - what a guy! The water was plentiful, and it was a really fun trek getting there. There were a lot more pools than I remember from last time of being there. There was actually a huge pool right under the fall, which I've never seen before, so the rain/snow did it's job yesterday. I offered Bruce $2 to jump in, he said $3 (another hustler!), so I agreed and he still wimped out!

It looked like a totally different trail on the way out due to the snow melt. There wasn't as much mud as we thought there'd be either, so it went really fast getting out. Along the way, Dave found a duffle bag stashed away off trail, and discovered some canned food and plenty of ammo. I think this terrified Bruce because as soon as we got back on FR 109, he took off like a bat outta hell and told us we were on our own if we got shot at. :sl:

Once back to the car, we caught up to the backpacker kids who may or may not have been the ones who left the ammo on trail, but they had plenty of obscenities written in the dirt on their car. So we took a picture of them in front of it, told Denny it wasn't a nice practical joke, and went on to drink a nice cold beer. Ok, Bruce and I were the only ones drinking, but hey, it sounds good! ;)

Weather was perfect, the group was so-so :GB: , and the hike was fabulous! Thanks for a great day guys!
