| partners | | | Challenging hike between the elevation gain and altitude. Great group of strong hikers, none of which I had hiked with before. I enjoyed everyone's company. The last time I hiked to Romero Pass the creek was running very full, this time there was just a trickle. Wilderness of Rocks is a very scenic area, and would be a great place to camp (not sure if you can though). Once at the top of Lemmon I hiked back down to the fire watch cabin with John where we met up with Jim, then headed back behind the observatory to the summit marker. Thanks Jim for organizing this hike. Thanks Katie and Jim for setting up the shuttle the day before so we could get started at 7 AM and avoid some of the heat! |
