I led this adventure for the Sierra Club. We left Phx at 5:00 am and headed to Bell TH and dropped two vehicles. Then we piled in the remaining two vehicles and headed up to Waldroup Canyon. We then scramble down Waldroup Canyon, -1,000' over 1.5 miles negotiating its 7 dry falls until reaching WBC Canyon. After a short 1/2-mile hike we reached the headwater springs of WBC. Then the real fun and beauty started as the sandstone walls closed in, which creates many incredible pools that we swam/floated through for the next 7 miles. We came out of the creek at the Bell Trail Pools and took the trail 4 miles back to the TH. We were back to Phx @ 10 pm. One long, fantastic day!
