First time on the Marshall Gulch and what a beautiful time of year to walk it. Perfect temperatures, wildflowers on the trail, and the trees are turning color. It has some ups and downs but is a easy to see and navigate trail. I think we missed that turn over the creek and kept hiking up until we decided to walk back down since we were low on water.
Yes, this area shows the devastation of the wildfires but it's definitely recovering and that in itself makes it a worthy walk to watch nature heal itself.
We will definitely put this one on our favorites list (it's closed from Dec. 15 to Mar. 1).
Wonderful picnic areas where you park by Sabino Creek. Just an all around lovely place to bring the family and dog! for a day hike.
