Picked a cool day to hike this trail for the first time. We walked on a road the whole time. 2 NPS trucks passed us, one ditch digger and crew putting in culverts, and 1 trail runner. Other than that, we were alone the whole time. Saw a red-tailed hawk and quite a few birds. No flowers yet.
An easy, flat but with a couple hills, trail to walk in the Rincons with a great view of Rincon Peak much of the time. The valley was full of old, large saguaros. A really pretty walk.
We made it to Hope Camp where there are some interesting ruins of a water tanks and windmill and building slab on the grounds. Arizona Trust Lands border it. We did not go to the North Hope Camp but perhaps will do that on our next trip.
At the start was a warning about mountain lions and killer bees.
I used "My Tracks" on my Droid to record our trip.
