Kath and I took this hike after visiting Sanctuary Cove and parking there. We walked along Scenic Rd. and once we crossed into Saguaro Park land, it began the climb. Rocky going with lots of loose stone. We had 2 small hills like this to climb and then the rest was flat. Great views of Safford Peak on the right and Tucson and Rattlesnake Ridge on the left. Nothing blooming but lots of choola and saguaros. Met Dixie the quarterhorse on the trail and saw another couple hikers. Other than that, and the fact it was heating up to near 80, the trail was wonderful and quiet.
We have no plans to do the steep rock climbing required to get to the peak.
A nice way to end the day after visiting the Cove.
Arizona Perfect Day.
