| no partners | | Drove down to Red Rock Crossing to take photos for a competition in my photo club--the theme is "rocks". The trees are just beginning to change color and the water was much deeper than I expected.
Instead of just being able to walk across, I had to take off my shoes and roll up my pantlegs above my knees. The red silt on the creekbed and the fast flowing water made for a very slippery crossing. My feet were frozen by the time I made it to the other side. I was the only photographer there for a while, then a German tourist showed up. He had been taking some sweet timed exposures lower down from the "reflection" area. I showed him the sweet spot--how can you travel to Sedona from Germany and not get the reflection shot?!
The light faded fast and the high thin clouds messed with the photos, but I'll submit them anyway--and cross my fingers that this set of 5 is a winner. |
