Started raining just as I hit the TH, but I was not deterred since I did drive quite some distance today. The rain disappeared after a few minutes, still windy and a bit chilly but that was fine. Some gorgeous skies that just added to the beauty of this hike. Near Garden Valley met three hikers who were headed for the top of Battleship Mountain. They had hiked the Supes many times so we hiked together to my Boulder Canyon endpoint. They invited me to join them to the summit of Battleship, an adventure I surely would have welcomed except for time considerations back in the city. Will return with some loop options...
