| no partners | | This visit was a walk-about with my dad near the trail head. I took my dad up to nearby Black Mesa earlier in the day and thought this would be a nice way to wrap things up. It was. My main reason for posting this revisit was to paint the destination is a little different light. This is a special place that has so much to offer. I was surprised how well I enjoyed it even in the winter. Very relaxing.
Current road condition: The access road heading down from the upper saddle gate is trying to wash out heavily in three places, however at this time is still fine for high-clearance 4x2. Evidence of recent repair was present. The quality of this old road is really degrading. One really hard winter could take it out completely. |
