| no partners | | Well I did this little hike since I read about it on here. Do not drive the road without a 4x4, walk in if you have to but it is a real tough drive. I drove all the way in and hit the trail down the canyon. Came up to the waterfall and had no trouble getting down it. I went down and to the right, it wasn't hard at all for me. I came back up the same way. There was a little trickle of water with the rain the night before, would love to see this thing when it's flowing full steam. Hiked in the canyon for an hour or so and then turned back as I got a late start and wanted to get out of there before dark. Nice to scramble over the rocks the whole time, saw nobody but the people in a tour jeep at the top, otherwise nobody around not even an animal. Was it me or did the canyon top on the way down look like the flatiron in the superstitions? |
