This short but amazing trail is one of my ALL TIME favorites. There was just enough time left in the day (sort of) to pull it off. Parked the Jeep and up I went. The sun was setting so I wasted no time going up. Once on top I didn't have time to go across the Mesa to view down the other side but I did continue on up to the next high point. Views going up and on top were spectacular as always. Coming down I took it much slower since it was almost nightfall. Toward the very end I broke out the head lamp.
There is a great little Motel in the area called the Marble Canyon Lodge. The price is right (37 bucks) and the rooms are very clean. I've stayed there a three times now and recommend it if you are in the area. As for the hike, it gets two thumbs up from me! |
