This trail is on and of roads and close to roads a big part of the time. You do pass Uncle Jim's cabin, the park entrance worker cabins, and the old fire tower cabins. There is a little burned area here and there but plenty of Pine and Aspen. This section also has the most ground cover of the five passages north of the canyon. We went up the tower to check out the views. The wind made it a little spooky for me so I didn't stay long.Nick ordered in some clouds for us and we would be meeting him and Dave later to thank him.A pleasant hike.Thank goodness John had left his Jeep at the end of this section last week so we could use it to go back for Bruce's car.Otherwise it would be five of us in a Ford Ranger! THANK YOU,John! We loaded Ben's truck with firewood fot the rest of the weekend.Dave,Nick and John got a room while we went to Utah and camped out.We would all meet at AZT#42 south in the am. |
