| no partners | | After a good soaking Thursday night, I was unable to entirely skip Friday and have real fun, but I was able to leave before noon and decided to see if there was any water in Camp Creek. It was raining lightly and there was one car at the trailhead. I passed the couple who drove it just as I was beginning. I headed down the wash until reaching Camp Creek, which was flowing lightly. Intrigued by an American flag on the hillside, I hiked up to investigate and found no clues. I proceeded uphill on an old ATV track for a ways before bushwhacking toward Sears Kay. I skirted their property line and dropped back down to the creek, hiking downstream to the falls and back to Blue Wash. From here I decided to explore another route back to the trailhead just for variety. There are endless use trails in the area and finding your way is not difficult. Perfect weather, nice views, and a good way to avoid an afternoon at work! |
