| no partners | | Led two hikes on the Arizona Trail for the BEYOND event. BEYOND is an annual community-wide event in the Tucson area that occurs the first Saturday of every year to commemorate the anniversary of January 8. The event is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of our community and encourages Arizonans to come together, get outside and be physically active.
The first was southbound from Gabe Zimmerman TH and back. It was windy and cool, but enjoyable. Everyone loved the views and the trek through the I-10 underpass. There were two other groups hiking out from Gabe Z. TH for the event and we all came back and had snacks and signed the guestbook.
The second hike was from La Posta Quemada Ranch in Colossal Cave. It turned into an amazing day to be outside and we had a nice hike north on the AZT. A great day celebrating community and introducing folks to the Arizona Trail. |
