| partners | | Brown, while difficult to access due to the driving time, was pretty easy with Wade driving his truck on the Oso Rd. Brown's Brother, despite being enjoyable, probably would have been impossible to ascend alone and without a GPS. I guess a Paper Map or photo with drawn on route would have been good, too.
Going up Brown was easy and the first summit was nice. Dropping down used alternates not expected. Going through the saddle towards the slabs of Brother proved easier on return than going out. Brush was the main problem, but it was tolerable. Once near the small or young Douglas Fir growing underneath of the shrub oak, the climbing began. Again, knowing the way proves invaluable. Once on the ridgeline, the traverse was fun. Views from the Brother were enjoyable, and those of the Peak 3 and 4 also quite nice. Someday I'll get to them.
Headed back the way we came, only minor confusion at times. Fun hike. |
