Bobp (our leader, tour guide and chef) set this up and I got lucky to hike with the other Denny, meet some new people (Karl, Kathy, Cindy, Bobby and Paul) and catch up with others (Bob, Angela and Preston).

First we went up Mount Union by Bob's creative route which I must say is less rocky that the trail and the final ridge to the top has nice views and open terrain. After visiting the tower and some snacks we headed over to Mount Davis for another break and took in the views and sights, though it was a bit hazy - we could just make out Bill Williams, Kendrick and San Francisco Peaks.

Finished off the day at the trailhead with good conversations, hot dogs, cheesy puffs and beer (thank you). Great weather and a really cool day (in both senses).
