Wanted to take my dog Bueller swimming and I picked a perfect spot. The 16 miles on fossil creek road were tough in my Nissan Versa but we made it to the parking area! :y: Easy trail to hike. Just a stroll through the forest with the sound of water the entire time. We stopped numerous times to check out all the different swimming options. Continued on to the actual waterfall. There was about 30 people there having a good time. Everyone had their dogs with them so my guy was a little distracted. After I went swimming we back tracked and found a more quiet watering hole with a smaller waterfall. The one we stopped at is just before the 1st wooden bridge. Water was gorgeous and the right temperature for me. Saw some clouds rolling in and we took off for the car. I'm pretty sure that 16 miles of unpaved road is horrid when it rains.
