| no partners | | | What a pleasant hike on a beautiful day. Got to the trail head around 11 and off we went. Not many people out today. Passed only a handful of groups. Once I got to the crossing I 1st went right and explored down stream a little. Once I got to the point where I had to get my feet wet I decided to hang a u-turn and go check out the crack. It was full of shirtless guys writing papers. Not my kind of scenery so we only spent a few minutes there. We then crossed the stream and made our way up the rim. On our way we spotted about a dozen monkey looking creatures. I only got 1 good photo of the, I later learned that there are no monkeys! So I'm sure one or all of you will tell me what I saw lol. Found a good spot to put up my hammock and take an hour nap. Felt so relaxed. Once I saw the sun started to set we made a mad dash back to the car. I brought everything but the kitchen sink and a flash light! Never forgetting that again. All in all was a wonderful trail with lots of great views plus flowing water always makes it even better! |
