| no partners | | We decided the Sunday after Thanksgiving to check out this trail written about in the AZ. Republic by Mare Czinar. Our son had mentioned awhile back that he'd rather we all went hiking to a place none of us had been to before. Kinda like discovering something together.
Wickenburg is not generally on our hiking agenda, even though we all like the area. So we headed "Out Wickenburg Way" to Sophie's Flat, which BTW is my first trail description...Woot!
We took trail "A" and after a bit we ended up in a big wash by a road and following what appeared to be the trail left by the Seventh Cavalry the day before. Soon though we exited the wash and were back on trails. We came to trail "B" an interconnector and took it to trail "C" another interconnector to "A". So there are lots of areas for exploring here and for a Sunday it was dead quiet and we never saw anyone. |
