| no partners | | | Was going to bike down to the pub for yesterday morning's soccer match, but it was still dark at 7:00 a.m., and my bike light it no work. I thought I would bike in the afternoon instead. I have not been sleeping well lately, so I ended up crashing at noon. No bike ride. So, to make up for the fact that I missed yesterday's exercise, I figured I would take two trips around the back yard today. Despite winter finally having arrived in the last couple of days, the brittle brush are beginning to bloom in Sunnyslope. Temps also resulting in clean air to the north, and keeping the pollution within 1000 feet of the ground along the I-10 corridor, so South Mountain and the Estrellas were again easily visible. |

| no partners | | Today's normally scheduled walk around the backyard. 11° warmer than this morning (61° versus 50°), but much breezier. Breeze probably made the difference in haze levels, as air towards South Mountain was lacking this morning's low-lying brown belt. Found at least three different plants beginning to bloom.
