This was a rather long drive and a rather short hike, but it was all worth it.
I believe I have another prospective hiker enjoying the outdoors.

Madelyn enjoyed the drive up Seven Springs Road, and enjoyed the drive up the one-lane (crumbling) road to the top of Humboldt Peak even more.
We hiked totally around the large white golf ball, waving and smiling at all the remote security cameras, then we hiked all around the rest of the mountain top. Madelyn was full of questions and turning into quite the explorer.

Now I have to tell her all about benchmarks.
