| no partners | | Nice hike in Butano State Park. The marine layer hung around until late in the afternoon, and kept it nice and cool despite killing numerous photographic opportunities. There were more people on the trails today than when Ron and I did a similar loop here last August. I didn't take my pack off at all so I'm finally getting into the condition I want to be in for my trip to Lassen National Park in a few weeks.
It was very humid as is typical here in early summer. Of course the weather here in the Bay Area is bipolar so who knows what's normal anymore?
Good deed of the day: I found a nice pair of Oakley sunglasses just lying in the middle of the trail on the Canyon Trail, so I put them in my pocket. About a mile and 600' lower a dude was huffing uphill without a pack, and he asked me if I'd seen any sunglasses. Today was his lucky day.
I'd definitely hit this place a third time. |
