| no partners | | | I liked how this hike went through several types of redwood forests. The lower old growth trees gave way to large second-growth and then small trees on top of the ridge. I saw an older couple close to the trail head and not a soul the rest of the way. There are a lot of 3-6 mile hikes in Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park that can be done separately. I hiked the Ossagon Trail immediately after this one. Overall, I would say the Ossagon is more interesting, but this loop has a lot more redwoods. |
