The Elbow Sand Dunes are in the Northern part of the park and are accessed by a park maintained trail from a parking area at the park entrance. A five mile loop trail winds its way through the rolling vegetation covered sand dunes and has a short branch that leads to the active sand dunes. The area is a haven for prairie wildlife, mule deer, coyotes and the odd moose may be seen along with many species of birds. |
