Threats of rain today kept crowds to a minimum including the Meetup group I was scheduled to do this hike with today. My buddy Dan and I were not deterred by the chance of rain and made the trek up to Prescott from Phoenix. Only a couple of other cars in the parking lot when we got there just after 8:00AM. Humidity was high, bugs were numerous, bees were busy, and we were HIKING!! Fun trail. Scenery is full of burnt out trees from last year's fire, kind of eerie. We spent some time exploring the ginormous rocks at the top by the lookout. We had a blast and got back down to the truck before the rain came it. Good for us!
