Dropped my wife at the airport this morning and stopped at the Phoenix Mountain Preserve to take some photos on the Mohave trail. I was able to find a parking spot at none other than the Mohave picnic area on this crowded holiday morning. Crossed the road to the Circumference trail and headed south. Crossed the road again near the gate and started on the Mohave trail. Climbed the three peaks and returned on the Mohave connector trail to the Jeep. Amazing how few people were on this side of the mountain. Appeared to be plenty of traffic on the Summit trail, go figure. Got some good quality time playing with my new DSLR camera.
