Parked at the 104th Street trailhead this morning. Followed Quartz trail until I got to a 10 foot high waterfall. The trail increasingly degrades as you continue east, there's no sign "Stop Here" so I just kept working my way through the brush until I got to the waterfall. That seemed like a good enough place to turn around. Heading back was FAST!! I went up to see the quartz ribbon on the way in. I only saw two people (not together) after the Taliesin split. Mine was the only car in the parking lot when I returned to the trailhead! I wasn't expecting much from this hike. Looked like it was going to be in a wash the whole way and it pretty much is. Bushwacking near the end was plenty fun though and everything was green and full of life. Glad I finally got around to this hike.
