4 of us on a 3H Meetup hike to Quartz Peak today. On the drive in on Riggs road we found Road Closed signs and then barricades at Bullard Ave. You can now easily drive through the storm damage from this past summer. Driving out Riggs and the power line is super sandy and pin stripe narrow at spots. Watch for unexpected deep water cuts across the road. Trail signs along the road are easy to spot and direct you to the trailhead. Trail is easy to follow up to a camping spot and then there are plenty of cairns from that point to the top (there's no 'real' trail after that point). Final 20 feet to the summit has some scary exposure! Great views from the top! Fun trail!
