New area for us so we figured hiking the AZT for a few miles would be a good introduction. The section of trail we hiked was in fantastic condition. We stopped for lunch in one of the washes we crossed and scared up some cows that were lounging. One moved so fast I thought for sure it would break a leg. We backed back out to give them their space. Saw a couple of red cardinals along the way. Right as we got back to the truck it started to sprinkle. Great hike!
