After dropping my daughter off at school, thought about where to go to hike. My intuition said quartz trail which is 5 min drive from school. Went to TH and took the trail to where it ends at golf course. Came back and went the other way to taliesin overlook. Saw fair amount of people.
After all the pictures I took of saguaro holes looking for owls, finally I saw one :y: :y: western screech owl. Initially looked like wood. Then I saw it's head move :D . As it was trying to sleep, other birds were waking it up...such as gila woodpeckers knocking the saguaro :) not sure how they can sleep daytime with all the noise.
Saw a few butterflies today but none posed for me :D
An awesome hike today :y: :D
