| no partners | | | Headed up to the trail on a frosty morning. A few patches of snow but it was looking like a great day. Followed the valley up and easily found the trail and headed NOBO. Good tread and route finding all along the way. Only ran into 1 other hiker who was SOBO on a day hike also. It became pretty breezy as the day went on, but the sun was nice and warm. Found a great place in the lea of the wind to have a snack and text my daughter on my progress. We absolutely had not been able to figure out how to drive to the end of this passage, so instead I started into Passage 7 and bushwacked to the road where the trail and road come close together. Ran into some dove hunters who helped me find a path through all of the catclaw. I figured I added about 2 +/- miles but that's 2 less miles to do tomorrow on Passage 7! |
