| no partners | | Dropped kids off at the very nearby Pinnacle Presbyterian church for vacation bible school. It had rained yesterday and this morning - but knew I had to get some sort of hike in while weather so chilly in June.
I hiked to Owl Nest and then back down b/c it was looking dark scary sky. Then it suddenly looked fine - so I treated that as a mini-lap and went all the way to the end and back. So a 1.3x Pinnacle Peak hike. Saw a very slow moving gopher snake (thanks to @Sun_Ray for ID) right by a sign that said "Stay on the trail please."
Felt so good to be rained on but thunder and distant lightning was a little worrisome. Went straight from trail to church to get kids - who had played in artificial snow from AZ Ice Man all morning! They take bags of ice and grind it up and shoot it out of a huge hose. So they had rain and snow on the same day in June - LOL. |
