I spent all morning prepping and waiting in line for ballet recital pics for 5 year old Caroline. She looked so beautiful and surprisingly grown up - - but keeping her lip gloss from smearing and hair bun straight wore me down. So this date hike was my reward for being her stylist. :D

We did the whole hike and I had forgotten what a great interval training hike this is. Usually we only hike PP with the kids and just go up to the first lookout and back.

Was pretty darn hot but I estimate that 70% of the hike was either in the shade or with sun to my back. Just drank plenty water and was fine.

Then changed clothes in bathroom (with a sink/baby wipe shower) to go out for dinner at Isabella's Kitchen - dress & heels with vodka soda feel amazing post hike. On instagram this type girl is described as a #dirtBarbie :lol:
