After today's storms rolled through, it was nice enough outside to take the kids for a short hike. We headed up to Telegraph Pass, and then went on up to the rock house. We caught a great sunset on our way up. For some reason, both kids really wanted to stay in the rock house and they cried when I told them it was time to go. When we got down to the bench again, there was a park ranger emptying the garbage cans. He congratulated the kids on a great job and gave them junior ranger stickers--that was the end of the tears! We made our way back down to the trailhead, using headlamps the rest of the way. Nice evening to be outside, and a good way to tire the kids for an early bedtime.
