| partners | | This weekend was pretty much a bust for me getting any hiking in--I was getting over a cold/sinus infection, then my son caught it from me. By this afternoon, I was crawling up the walls. My usual Sunday evening hiking partner said she could start early today, so we met at the Bursera trailhead around 3:30. It's funny, she's hiked these trails with me before, but never during the day, so she was excited to see everything. We started on Bursera, headed east on National, stopped and looked at most of the old mines, up Goat Hill (a first for her), then back to the trailhead on Pyramid. The weather was warm enough for a tank top the entire time. When I did this at night last week, I was freezing with multiple layers on, much warmer weather today. Only saw three other people the entire way. Heard a few coyotes, but didn't see anything. |
