First time out to Massacre Falls. Although we had a bit of rain last night, and it drizzled a bit while we were on the trail, the result was more like "Massacre wet rock." That said, we didn't have high expectations for much in the way of running water. The hike was fun. The off-and-on wind and drizzle made it a bit of a challenge to keep the right amount of layers on. We explored around the falls and the nearby "ramp," looking for potential rappelling/climbing spots for a future adventure. Also scoped out a potential Reverse Flatiron attempt, as it appears most use this trail as a jumping off point. Top of the Supes remained in the clouds all morning. On our way up, saw a family of 5-6 deer on the trail. On our way back, came across a couple of hunters in cammo. Wonder if the two groups ever met ....? :scared:

By the way, what's the story on the whole "Massacre" falls/grounds??
