I met up with a couple of guys from the Arizona Trail Association to spend a couple nights in the Mazzies and clear some brush on the Mazatzal Divide trail. We managed to get some trail cleared from the Barnhardt junction past Chilson camp. The hike in and out on the Barnhardt was a little more adventurous than I expected but still enjoyable. Very easy to find water back there right now.

The Barnhardt trail is covered in snow and is really slick below the falls, the trail is a ice chute in places. After the falls there are a few more icy sections then you'll be in and out of snow all the way to the Divide trail.
