I really like this loop. Its challenging and extremely diverse in regards to scenery, type of trail, and quality of trail. Today was a perfect day for it and we managed to catch up with some of the folks meeting at the Peeley TH this morning. That trail builder machine they put to work in there is basically magic. The Cornucopia was totally transformed since the last time I was on it. The new signs are also impressive. We saw a bald eagle in McFarland Canyon and some coatimundi along Alder Creek
My only bad note is that due to the fire, the lower half of the old jeep road connecting the Sunflower Mine to the Saddle Mtn trail is being swallowed up. I think that road is a hidden gem of the Mazzies and would hate to see it forgotten and disappear.
