We followed Chumley's track for a little over 1.2 miles to get to the cascade and small slot canyon section of Lime Creek. There's a really great slick rock area just above the junction with Little Cougar Canyon. We hiked in the creek most of the way, but took a faint cow trail on the way back. This user-created trail avoids a lot of the bushwhacking you have to do to stay in the creek bed, but also provides nice views of the riparian area.
At one point, the track leaves the creek for a few hundred meters and heads out over a small mesa. Excellent views here, with a glimpse of the Mazatzals in the distance?

The slick rock cascade in the little slot canyon section is a great place to take a break and swim in the deep pool just a few meters down stream of the falls.

The canyon narrows about .15 mile NW of here. The creek flows perennially here.

This point marks the perennial flow section of Upper Lime Creek. There's an unusually high water table at this point in the creek bed and some flow is visible coming out of the ground. It's a "spring" by definition, but a little anti-climactic with the stagnant pools visible just 10 meters upstream.
