Peak #2 of 3 today

Same trailhead as peak #1, just going the other direction.

Not too much to say about this one except it featured almost every thorny plant known to Arizona (shin-daggers and cat-claw were by far most prominent) and for a good portion it was two-steps-up, one-step-sliding-down. If I didn't have my hiking poles I would have had to make a LONG circuitous route to the other side. As it was, a few times they'd dig in 4-6" before hitting anything close to solid. I suppose it I had crampons it may have helped.

But thankfully it was over reasonably quickly and I was back to the Jeep for more sustenance before taking on the only peak I had any apprehensions about. A short drive and I'll be ready to find out how that goes.
