It went straight to my lungs and throat and I was running a 101-102 fever. Talk about bad timing. I was determined to go on the trip, but waited until Tuesday to go up. By this time the fever had pretty much gone, but I was stuck with a persistent cough. Lack of lung power...just what you need when heading up to 10-12,000 feet above sea level. :roll: Hiking was pretty much out of the question with that nonstop cough, but at least Paul was able to get up to Ice Lake the day before I arrived (I had planned on doing that hike with him, but it was not to be).
(It has now been a week since I left there, and thank goodness the cough has finally gone away, but I still can't unplug my right ear due to the congestion and all that elevation change. 
)
