| no partners | | I first visited Ludlow Memorial on a road trip back in November, 1998, and had wanted to go back for a long time. I planned on stopping there on my way to Raton from Antonito in 2015, but it was getting late in the day and storming as I drove by on I-25. So, this trip was set up to go back and check it out in 2016. Wind swept and pretty lonely country out there. But, it is the site of an infamous incident back in 1914. It is long enough ago that it is mostly a forgotten footnote in history. Definitely worthy of a stop if you find yourself in the area.
